The Daniel Island Club now has a PGA touring pro representing the club and it was a big week last week as Russell Henley won the Honda Classic in a 4 way playoff. This is his second win on tour as he won the Hawaiian Open last year in his debut tournament, the first rookie to win his first outing in over 10 years on the PGA Tour.
Originally from Macon, GA, he now lives on James Island and plays out of both Daniel Island and the Country Club of Charleston. The Daniel Island Club is proud to have him as our official representative on tour and there was quite a crowd rooting him on last Sunday.
Everyone who has met him says he is a great guy and also a big supporter of The First Tee program. Two wins in your first two years is certainly an impressive feat and we wish him the best going forward. For more on his recent victory, check out this Post and Courier article:
