Daniel Island selected as one of top 50 master-planned communities! For the 4th year in a row!

“Where to Retire” magazine, a magazine which I hope to be profiled in one day, recently announced their top 50 master planned communities in the US. It is quite an honor and this is the 4th consecutive year Daniel Island was selected!

While Daniel Island is certainly not a retirement community, there are plenty of residents who are “actively jobless” as one retiree friend joyfully describes himself. Activities are plentiful on Daniel Island for everyone but the retirees that I know have no intention of moving off Daniel Island

The magazine’s editors based their selections on access to social and community groups, healthy living, and diverse recreational amenities. Daniel Island’s development was especially designed to provide such a lifestyle and it is nice to see it recognized by “Where to Retire” magazine. Now I just have to figure out a way to become one of the “actively jobless” so I can take advantage of everything this special place has to offer!

A money saving tip from Autoslash

The next time you make a car reservation, save yourself some dollars and use Autoslash.  A friend of mine turned me on to this website and boom!  — I saved over $50 on a three day rental from Enterprise.  And it was easy!

All you do is make your rental car reservation like normal, and then enter the confirmation number and the rental company –Avis, Hertz, etc.  Autoslash then begins their magic and searches for a lower price while you sit back and enjoy the savings.  It emails you when it finds a lower price (it almost always does) and off you go to the rental counter, easy as that.

I’m not sure how they work, nor do I really care.  All I know is that It works.  Try it and let me know how it works for you.
